Any Sugar or Beech mags on here?

I have to be in CLT for meetings Jan 22nd-24th. I am coming up early to stay with a buddy in Blowing Rock. He has free passes to App, which might be a fun night activity, but looks like it would get boring pretty quick.

Anyone at Sugar or Beech on weekends? Sugar looks like the better of the two, just due to vert and steepness.

Love to potentially meet up. Not sure how the schedule will go, but I plan to ski one of them either that weekend, or on the 25th.
If I go on the 25th, I will be searching for cheap places to stay around Sugar most likely.

Haven’t been to either in ages but weekend days (or nights) could be crowded. Weekday or Sunday nights would be a good option, should be cheap tickets and definitely drivable in under an hour to sugar or beech if you’re basing from blowing rock.

+1 on sugar for Terrain and vertical, a couple good runs off the main lift and then a long run out green all the way down.
