Yeah, it’s OnTheSnow that says the 10th…

And I dunno if I trust the RGJ, since they list Mammoth as a Tahoe resort…

That wasn't my source, fwiw. I asked the snowmaker when I skied there last week. It looks like they could open Northwest and Lakeview but a high speed 10pack seems like overkill for Carson Bowl

Another vote for Dr. A. When my son injured his shoulder playing baseball in high school he sought out two opinions. 1st guy looked at X ray and wanted to schedule surgery asap. Dr. A looked at same X ray said you don’t need surgery, just rehab. So he hooked my son up with a physical therapist, he did the required work and went on to play thru college and his shoulder is fine, even when he falls snowboarding Dr. A won’t do unnecessary medical interventions either, some guys just want to operate. But if you need surgery he’s among the best. He has two offices, one in SF and one further down the peninsula (San Jose?) if I remember correctly, my son saw him in his SF office.

Shouldn't matter. Might matter if your PT is.

Well, only commencing their second day on snow. Well, maybe their second lap. And as my friend has said for years, "that's what they make ptex for". Send it!

    Au contraire mon frere!
I did my due diligence and checked their website this morning at approx 9:30 am and before my initial post about opening days on page 3.

The announcement of their opening day date was not on the site at that time.
They obviously recently updated the site (by the looks of it they did an update around 11::33…) eek:

Looks like National will go. The rest looks pretty dicey.

To be fair, most of those resorts aren't actually in Tahoe.

My experience and thought is that it does matter when you are seeking a consultation about options. The last physiatrist that I saw had apparently no understanding of snow, skiing, or skiing dynamics, and recommended that I get a consultation with an orthopedic.

Definitely was not on their site until late this morning, or on any of their social media feeds. I guess their content with being second among tahoe resorts (mammoth wins any tiebreakers). Oh well, at least they didn't try.

    Quelle domage.
No. Was referencing my own comment back when I put up that foggy screenshot, a coupla days back.
"Mt.Rose looking nice and socked in. Maybe they'll make their nov 9 opening"
HV planning Nov 17 opening, according to tv news guy.

Their site presently has zero info regarding ticket prices for opening day or links to purchase tix. Additionally they don’t clarify if Opening Day is for everyone or just pass holders

I might sorta consider Sat or Sun for a run or two, but that’s dependent on ticket prices…

Personally, I find the site confusingly laid out.
When you go to the “tickets” page the first thing you see is “Lift Tickets + Lessons” and then a “buy now” button.
I didn’t click that because I didn’t want to buy a lesson package.
Then the next section tells you the times for Full Day and Half Day tix, but no prices.
The whole site is clumsily displayed, imho.
But $119 for three runs? No thank you!
I’m sorry, but if you only have 4% of the hill open, your ticket price should be well under $100…

Since this is the parking bitch thread, pour one out for the folks parallel parked behind Florida Man, who backed into them so hard he drove off with their front license plate stuck to his bumper.

I do think given it's only three runs you could choose the am or pm version for $90 or $59.

i also think those will be higher on the weekend
