With a foot of snow expected Friday night - what is the possibility that they open the alpine Saturday?

How's inbounds skiing? Trying to decide if tomorrow is worth burning 1 of 5 edge card days. Can't make the weekend

I predict a complete shit show tomorrow. Decent skiing inbounds but just an insane amount of pent up demand.

Agreed. Today looks like it would be fun. Early next week probably will be great, too.

It's getting colder and snowing to the valley.

What time was this? Someone posted a photo on Facebook showing a full maze at Blackcomb at 6:50 am.

I left Mount Pleasant at 5:40. Passed Squamish at 6:30. There was a 5 min stop n go merge at Alice Lake. Function lineup was a 25 min delay at 7:15. Creekside parkade looked like a zoo at 7:45. Luckily I have a friends place to park at and a Founders pass hook up today. Creekside line was at highway at 7:45.
Snow quality is amazing. Knee to thigh deep blower. Bit troubling how few bombs I’m hearing. Had expected them to use the heli given clear calm skies.

At 8am, it was bumper to bumper from Function to Callaghan. I was driving home to Langley - easy driving all the way.
The Creekside lineup was down the highway and back towards Legends. If you have a problem & think that someone else is going to solve it for you then you have two problems.

Got a text and photo from a patroller friend on Blackcomb “best skiing on the mountain I’ve ever experienced”

I'm sure driving there and getting onto the mountain sucked big time, but that snow in bluebird conditions has got to be something else. I'm definitely jealous now.

I’m a jealous voyeur just like all of us posting here instead of skiing WB today.
In fairness my friend does get to skip the lines with her patroller jacket so that’s likely helping her stoke.
But I’m still insanely jealous. Waiting for more pictures.

Looks like nearly everything in the alpine is open on both mountains already. Nice work, patrol!

^^^^Did everyone in Canada move to Vancouver and environs? That looks crazy.
