Thread: WTB: Hardtail frame

I'm looking for a steel or high qulaity aluminum frame around the 18" range with a longish top tube. Preferably something along the lines of an IF, a Bianchi Steel/ Carbon/ Easton Elite frame, a serotta, RM Blizzard, Ellsworh sub22, Yeti ARC or FRO, or something high quality and more boutique. I would just go out and order an IF if I had a wad of cash, but I'm looking for something used since I'm on more of a budget. So let me know if you or your friends have got anything for sale or laying around. Thanks

You looking for something new or would older be okay? I have a Pro FRO that has seen very little use (even though it is about 8 years old now). Problem is it has the old 1 1/4 headtube so forks are hard to find. Let me know cuz right now it is just collecting dust....

They make spacers to make 1 1/4" into 1 1/8" don't they? Are looking to sell it for cheaper, or do you want ot sell for lots because it is "vintage." Let me know.

Sounds perfect. What size? Condition? Pictures?

It's an 18.5" or a 19"- I forget. 2002 or 2003 model. I bought the complete bike April last year, rode it 3 or 4 times and just ain't interested. I'm a trail runner and road cyclist and not vice versa. There ought to be a pic on the Rocky mountain website. The frame's in beautiful shape.

Although it's a complete bike, parting it out ought to work as well.

Right now the bikes at a shop where I have it on consignment, so I'd have to go there to take some pics. BTW, this shop also has a somewhat beat-up Fat Cycles Buck Shaver for sale. That bike's a 17" or 17.5", if anyone's interested.
