I usually ride the bus so I’ve only driven one season, 2021, but in 100+ days driving I saw traction laws enforced once. And that was the day they shut it for avy, so they had people there anyway. That’s crazy, and I’m fairly convinced congestion would decrease significantly if they enforced traction laws in BCC.

Enforce for the down too! The number of cars you see having to get pushed or towed out of Eagle lot at Solitude is quite high. That hill is not steep, either, so you can bet your ass those people are going 2mph sliding their way down.
The bang for the buck would be awesome.
Ya gotta figure there's some political maneuvering stopping this to make the gondola more appealing.

I don't think enough has been made about the fact that even if the gondola goes in they plan on charging $20-$30 per vehicle in BOTH canyons during peak hours.

ID:	429207They keep referring to tolls (like Easy Pass) just below Snowbird entrance 1 "on busy days", but they don't define "busy days". It is just weekends and holidays, or can it be any day that "X" # of vehicles enter the canyon.
I am happy to pay $25-$30 to park at Collins/Wildcat. We have been getting away with free parking for a long time. Better yet, I'd like to pay $250 for a season parking pass. for my mid-week only skiing at Alta.

Currently the limit on the number of skiers in LCC is parking. On busy weekends or holidays the canyon is shut to all traffic other than buses when no more parking is available. IMO on those days Alta is at capacity with long lift lines and as evidenced by last season numerous on mountain collisions. If you do tolling, gondola, enhanced bus service will that not result in a significant increase in the number of skiers and what can Alta do to increase skiable terrain? Snowbird owns land, does Alta have land for expansion other than Grizzly Gulch??

Always good to know what rich Summit county lawyers can afford at Alta, ha.

C'mon. People have been paying $15-$40 to park at JH, Solitude, DV, Vail and other places for years. We are discussing alternative solutions for LCC, but we are not ok with paying to park. Even after living here for over 15 years, I still don't understand why Wasangeles folk think that they are so entitled. Personally, public transportation is [always] a last resort. I'd rather pay and be comfortable, than pay less and stress.

Yes. There needs to be a cap on the number of skiers or they need to find more skiable terrain. Adding a 6 person lift is not the answer.

Would replacing the 7 day season pass with 3 and 4 day ones (Tuesday, Fri, Sunday) and (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday) solve anything?

All this drama just so everyone can go up the canyon between 8am and 10am on a weekend or snow day which is the only time traffic going up is bad :-/ ... On a weekend I just go up after the morning rush, problem solved. On a snow day it almost doesn't even matter when you get there. I can't count the number of times I rushed to get to Snowbird on a snow day and the entire resort just had to do laps of Gadzoom until they actually were able to finally open up terrain after noon. I got so sick of that that several snow days I just lazily dragged my ass up the canyon at noon and I actually got rope drops for the Cirque and Mineral Basin that all the freezing people were waiting hours for. Point is you don't NEED to be going up the canyon at 8am. The vast vast vast majority of the time there is no traffic in LLC. This is all over 5% of the time if that.

Multiple maggots can vouch for Ghosthop’s party hosting. He was the Party Czar at the 2018 BBI-MT and hosted the after party after the Bridger day. SFB was there.

Would love to have an Ullr fest on Nov 4-5.

Won't be drinking as I'll be ~14 days out from donating 70% of my liver but I will have a few bottles of non alcoholic drinks + safety supplies

You can donate part of your liver??!!! How does that work since you only have only one liver and it is a critical organ? Also, what is it used for? I assume people in need of a liver can't receive a partial one.

That is incredibly selfless of you to do such a thing. I tip my hat to you.

Unless it's pan-seared with nothing but butter, sea salt, and a splash of Armagnac, I'm going to have to say NON!!
