I saw a sno-go today on the hill and it looks soooo fun. WANT.
Does anyone here have one? Can I "demo" it? It's enough money that I really want to try it first.
I think I might be able to get a ride on the one I saw but thought I would check here.

edit to add: they rent them at sunday river, sugarloaf and loon (but not yet this season). $81 a day but Fuck it I might do it. If you have one I would totally rent it from you.

Looks like you’re gonna get nuked up there if the cold keeps it as snow the whole time.

Have to imagine that first east coast ice patch is gonna be a real Mother Father, doesn't seem a real good riding switch experience.

Clutch info. No red until the weekend at the earliest? Was debating between the Sun Mountain and Magic for tomorrow and Friday and that just helped my decision making immensely.

East Coast Roll Call #??? 20-21 Covid closures and hard core touring! Be Fit or Sit

Barely snowing in southern Vt. It’s 130. We have enough to make the grass barely stick through the snow... bands look like they are hitting Vermont line and drying up. Maybe there is more up in elevation...

I’m going to place my bets that if there is any deep snow it is at mount snow or off the back of Stratton headed south to woodford in the national forest. Zero chance it’s enough base for anything and with the way the wind is ripping now the woods will be a drifted mess.

Bromley had changed there snowfall totals last night to 3-5” on all the employee reports. They finally acknowledged what a lot of people were wondering... where this huge storm was coming from, cause it sure as shit didn’t look like a huge storm on the map.

I dunno. Maybe the next four hours do something different but I’m not getting my hopes up. Just some more media hysteria. They are good at ratcheting up the anxiety levels for zero reason. Makes them feel powerful.

5:45 AM update base of Magic. 13.6 degrees and 16.75" measured on my car's hood. It's still nuking.

Geoff's comments via text to me on Red: if the snow is as light as forecast, we may not be able to groom it down enough to cover the rocks on the work road. We don't have a manmade base on Upper Magic Carpet. There's also the issue of the backside wind scouring it away into the woods.

Bromley will groom it all flat though.

Correction 18" so far. No wind and still dumping. Shoveled a path for the dog. She walked out the door and shit on the deck. Nice.

Too bad my kid has an on-line final this morning. School is stupid.

It's dumping, it's blower powder and the wind has been gusting.

    With no prior base.....

Enjoy that snow down there, especially the report from Magic......jealous

2 or so inches here overnight that'll at least make for some good fat biking later.
