    This just in....

Hayes brakes suck donkey nuts. I just put a Avid Juicy on my bike as a front brake and it is about 1000 times better. Just wanted to let everyone know.

Can I have your old, crappy Hayes. Hey, you said they suck, so you might as well give 'em away.

Hayes lack severly in modulation and feel. They're easy as hell to set up though.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

As I rained blows upon him, I realized there had to be another way.

Had Hayes on my old bike.

    Got Maguras on the 5-Spot.

It was like coming out of a coma. The Hayes basically had two settings: Off and On. The Maguras have so much feel (aka modulation) it's almost ridiculous. Granted, I haven't used anything else; but it can't get much worse than my old bike and the demo bike I rode with Hayes last year also.

I've heard many reports of wavy rotors squealing and stuttering.

I think those were the older ones. The new ones are called wavy but are a different design.

I've bent two juicy seven rotors (203mm) in two weeks... One I was able to straighten, the other I couldn't. They brake well, but also seem to break well. Also, those little red engagement adjusters will be gone the first time you crash.

No red knobs on my fives. Haven't heard many complaints about the weakness of the rotors... maybe it's just you.

I'm still in the Hope camp. Best hydraulic brake out there. They look like jewelry and perform like champs.

A buddy of mine (who sold his Bullit to Tyrone) got some Juicy 5's on his ASX and I was super impressed with the feel of those things. Definitely considering swapping out for those...

I like Hayes Mags but I have crappy old Comps...definitely need to upgrade.

I've put about 300 km's on my Juicy 5's now and couldn't imagine using anything else.

Juicy = best brakes out there

Yup, the bad rotor issue has to be due to crash's self professed hack syndrome.

I agree, Hayes brakes are nothing special...Juicy's on the other hand are killer. I am even sad to admit that they're better than my XT 4-pot's with braided line.

Anyone ridden the El Caminos? One of our reps swears they're the best he's ridden, but I haven't been on his bike, and he's mostly a Hayes guy.
It's heartbreaking to see a chick who's too anorexic.
