I have Pilsner Hojis and Heritage Lab FR 110’s on the way…..I don’t need Meridians.

    Just talking to myself.

Great article. Some of what you said about the deathwish a handful of years back actually convinced me to get a pair and now it's my daily touring and resort ski. I just mounted a pair of Magic Js for a Japan trip, so am trying incredibly hard to convince myself I don't need ghost trains too.

I wish… would probably be better on my wallet.

Selfishly I want people to have the same addiction to gear I do.

I also want to show love and support to Moment, as I believe they are the best in the business when it comes to product quality/service/people/fun.

Depends if you like a DW or Meridian lol. For me in it's the DW 104 tour. I find it easy to get loose in Soft Snow and has more bite on hard. I like both but DW shape more.

if you’re looking for something that can handle a wider range of conditions and or you deal with hard pack on a much more common basis then dw104 tour is for you. Triple camber is going to give you more bite across a wider range of conditions.

if you’re looking for something more playful and pivoty, offering a tad more float across softer and deeper snow and prioritize a more playful experience over the need for more bite than the meridian tour is for you.

Kinda, maybe, in certain conditions? The Meridian is the stiffest of those skis and has the longest effective edge, so in my experience, when you’re actually engaging that edge (deeper, heavier snow), it’s not more playful than a Deathwish, but does have more stability.

On firm snow when skied more centered such that you’re not engaging the whole radius of the ski, it’s super quick and loves a prolonged slarve.

I loved the Meridian on Mammoth wind buff days where you can turn it sideways and get a 10 second continuous faceshot. I also loved it on spring days where I got less suction in wet snow with the full rocker. Whereas I prefer the Deathwish as an everyday ski, and find it better on rough firm snow (camber provides suspension), heavy chop (Meridian wanted me to engage the whole effective edge), and pow (184 Deathwish floats much better than 187 Meridian).

I don’t ski Mammoth as much anymore, so I got rid of the Meridians and have Deathwishes now, but the Meridian was an awesome quiver ski.

    Gave in on the Meridian...

Such a fun ski had to have the colorway.

    Awesome, thanks!

Honestly those Magic Js are on the (very) short list of powder skis I really really want to try. They look pretty perfect. No regrets!

oddly enough the pink is what turned me off and I love pink. A bunch of my gear, clothes etc for skiing is pink. Grabbed the pink Pitt viper pivots too. Appreciated the more muted color tone on the tours. Granted I’m partial to the older median graphics that actually say Meridian etc and not the triple camber stuff like on the recent drops.

Meridian Tour question: the standard Meridian has essentially equal tip and tail splay (about 60mm). Is that also true for the Meridian Tour? I'd love it if were more like 30mm in the tail.
    sproing!

If you're in western wash this winter and near-ish a 27.5 you're welcome to take them for a spin if I'm not on them! Mounted them with a duke PT so there's a decent bit of adjustability.

I panicked and grabbed the last pair. I’d be shocked if they didn’t re-re-release them.
