hmmmm I shipped my FXR to Fresno on Tuesday. I'm in Fresno today. They said it was out for delivery at 8:30am this morning. 6:40pm and it ain't here...will I be collecting a $3000 insured payment from UPS for a new bike shortly???
this could suck AND rule!
p.s. since we're (I'm) on the topic, would yall trade an FXR in for an Inferno for your primary trail bike?
edit: it got here...UPS guy delivered at 7:30pm...wtf? glad I didn't lose my rig

Bump cuz I'm thinking of selling the whole dealio.
An abbreviated parts list:
2003 Foes FXR (size M)
Sun Ringle SUV Disc wheelset
2003 Marz Z1 w/ QR axle
Sun Ringle Evolution stem & seatpost
FSA V-Drive Xtreme crankset
FSA Orbit Extreme Ti headset and Ti BB
XT shifters/derailleurs
Hayes Mags w/ 6" rotors
FSA 3-ring setup OR 2-ring w/ DRS
new ODI Ruffian lock-on grips
WTB tires - 2.24 moto raptor on back and 2.3 Weirwolf front
Condition is great - nothing wrong with it mechanically that I can tell. There is a ding in the downtube and a scratch in the toptube but they've been there for about 18 months and caused no problems. Paint is worn off on the upper swing arm from the tire kicking up rocks, etc...and a couple cable rub spots. Other than that this bike freaking rules it and is in great condition...been hanging out in Fresno for the past 6 months and has only been on about 3 trail rides.
I'll consider pretty much any reasonable offer...Last edited by Particle; 01-27-2006 at 02:26 PM.

You have brand new Squads sitting at my house and all you can think about is "bikes, bikes, bikes". Kind of sad, really

01-27-2006, 02:55 PM #6...which is exactly why I need some proceeds from my bike closet you grumpy grumpy old man. And again, why the hell are YOU hanging out in here? Trying to spec out that dirt jump bike you're gonna buy this March?

No I just keep seeing that you were the last person to post on this forum, so I come here just to harass you. A dirtjumping bike is the last think on my mind right now. After all between skiing, work and wedding shit, how could I have time to think about bikes

What's the total weight on that thing? I might be interested if I get a job anytime soon and it weighs less than 30lbs.
People shooting ski areas should be sued.

OK I've got an interested buyer that I'm going to meet on Thursday 3/23 this week. But I'm suddenly having separation anxiety!? Do I really want to sell this bike?
The main reason I'm selling is so that the bike doesn't lose too much more value. It's a 2003 and I'd like to be able to carry that value into a new rig. But I love my Foes. Should I just ride it into the ground? I can get a great deal on a new Foes frame but building one up would be reallllly expensive. I can get a complete 575 for a great deal. Hmph.

marshal you're not helping
or maybe you are...heh. I know, Foes has such bling appeal compared to a 575...hmph.
maybe I'll just sell the frame and get the new 2:1 FXR...

i'll write back tomorrow w/ some numbers.
$409 for last years is a really good deal though (like close to EP...)
i'd stick w/ marz though. unless you are sending it bigger than 4 feet, don't really need 20mm IMO as well.
or just buy THIS

Oh man I just picked up the bike from the shop for a much-needed tune...wow. No more creaky/poppy noises from the BB/cranks, smoov shifting perfection. Like a new ride
I still want a 150mm fork for it though...I have definitely taken that Z1 off some 5-7 foot drops, but with good trannys. AM1 sounds great to me, although I don't love that 'desert storm' color...
