    Dynastar MV2 beta?

Any info on old orange dynastar MV2 astral skis? What year(s) they where made, how did they ski, would they have any $ value undrilled... etc? They look like a oldschool LP. I'll post pic's if needed for id'ing them. I'm mainly interested in the year. They have olympic rings on them and blue lettering if that helps. They feel like tanks. thanks

    The orange ones.

MV2 was a GS ski, metal omega core, produced from maybe 1972 through 1978. The pair I had was white, not orange. They were French race team stock, 210cm. Old school rockets.

Maybe someone over at the epic board would have more info.

thanks for the info. they are stiff. I don't have a epic login so I will not be getting their expert advice. I might mount them with some old 877 drivers I have and ski once a year maybe. I just wanted to know if I should keep them fresh and unmounted, for antique value.

"Antique value" would imply selling them at some point, so in that case, don't mount them.

They were a great ski for their time, but not much fun in comparison to what you are probably riding now....

The purple slalom model was the S430, a wood core wet wrap competitor to the Rossi Strato. The S730 was a red white and blue foam core plank circa 1972 that was the competitor to the Ross ST 650.
