Whats the heaviest Alpine Binding (DIN 14 and above).
Is there anything heavier than a Marker Duke?

I had a set of Cham127s with old school metal Salomon 900s, those were heavy.

You're in luck! Salomon Guardians... heavy as fuck. Although technically, like a Duke, it's an AT binding. But you can drill holes in them and fill them with lead to make them even heavier!

Surely a Marker Duke is only an Alpine binding if you tour in it using trekkers?

    That'd be heavy.

I like you style. What about adding a race plate?

Added weight = damping of undesirable longitudinal oscillations.

I think you're onto something here, so long as you add some piezo LED lights.

Has anyone run MFD all-time plates with Marker Dukes? Does the dual pivot improve the stride?

I picked up some old Tyrolias from a mag a few years ago. Needed to reuse holes on 1 ski after moving bindings to another.
They have some old race plate or some shit, and they are all plastic, but FAK they're heavy. It should be impossible for plastic to be this heavy.
    Guardian/Trackers....they ain't light either, dude.
    No longer stuck.

Large Guardian/Tracker 16 is the heaviest touring binding. But even heavier is Rossi's 18-DIN racing-adapted-to-freeride binding. (Same as Look PX18.) This thing uses an 8mm hex wrench to adjust the rear visual indicator, because a posidrive would just strip out. This is the heaviest binding I know about.

PX18 (aka Rossi 18 / Dynastar PX18) are heavier at 1580g vs OG Dukes (1340) or EPF Dukes (1432). Solly 916 Steels are close at 1410g.

It was wise of them to use a demo binding to maximize weight penalty of their product.

Always thought a MFD with Dukes would be great, then thought about adding some Alpine Trekkers for the Triple pivot action.....just a thought
