    Columbia Outdry Puffy Rain Coat

Was tired of wearing a rain coat over my puffy so found this as a one coat go to for cold rainy weather.

So far I love it. 700 fill down and completely waterproof. Great for PNW winters, dog walking etc.

Found it half off with a simple online search.

Fit is big and it's a bit crisp but throw it over a flannel or a hoody and good to go in colder conditions. No pit zips though.

I'm a big OutDry fan in gloves. Mandatory for me these days.

Seems like synthetic insulation would be a better choice for an insulated rain jkt, no?

You would think but this outer shell is a legit rain coat so no chance of the down getting wet from elements.

I haven't skied in this and probably won't (unless it's dumping rain) because it has no pit zips to dump heat. More of a nice warm insulated rain coat. I've snowshoed and gone sledding with it and works great.
