I don't have a German shepherd and it's super fucked that they thought the dog could swim across that nasty hydraulic at the wall. Fucking idiots. My lab is a swimming machine and would have had a hard time swimming over to the trainer at the wall, even the trainer was getting pulled under.

I've had two GSDs as well. Neither of them would embrace the water like my lab. One of them never let the water go past his knees. Never. But then again I've seen a GSD dive for his toy 'rock', it was the trippiest thing to watch.

This footage is disturbing regardless. The handler's reported statement that "the dog didn't want to do the trick that day even though we practiced it before", (or something to that effect), is total bullshit.

Mine didnt like water at 1st, then at about 5 months I thru a stick in the water her paw came up she went into a point and after that I couldn't keep her out of the water

Dogs don't think like humans do. When the whole family leaves them for most of the day, they think you're never coming back! When you take them to the vet, they think they're going to a canine Auschwitz.....and when you give them a bath, they wonder what they must have done to deserve the pending water torture. So, when they see the frothing water in that video, they literally think they"re going to die!!!

My gf's gsd loves to sit in the car bc he knows we always come back to the car. He'll even stay in there once we get home sometimes.
