Uinta Avalanche Involving Jeremy Jones?
Snowboarder in his 40's caught in a slide, breaking both of his legs, but no name...
https://www.ksl.com/?sid=42856229&nid=148
And then this came up on my feed:
Seems like some pretty poor decision making by a very experienced guy if it's the same incident. I can't find any further info about it though, anyone know anything? So hot right now

He is a urban snowboarder, are you getting him confused with the big mountain snowboarder Jeremey Jones?
One click on that photo and you can see it's not the tahoe JJ.

Yeah. Appears to be the guy who starred in all the Mack Dawg Productions films (which I was a big fan of BITD). Not the guy who is related to the proprietors of our dear forum here.

So the danger was high/extreme that day... I mean at some point it's like what did you expect to happen? Vibes for them involved but that decision making has to be revisited.

When they got to their new location, they began to assess the slope. The group was divided in their feelings about the slope, particularly because it was a little steeper. With this in mind, they positioned a few riders in safe locations in case of an avalanche.
Interesting decision making.

weird this story creeps up ,a week later... I mentioned it in general discussion then ,because the danger was pretty high still in the backcountry...and this story would be a eye opener for the noobs who never check the forecast. I even mention it to our safety guru, Craig here in SLC,bu the didn't respond either.
Would a Jew jump into a Gas Chamber???? I guess ...No;but skier/boarders jump into some gnarly death days in the backcountry..at least they get buried ,after , or as, they are dying.
Some tough decision making out there..or is it tough?ski paintingshttp://michael-cuozzo.fineartamerica.com" horror has a face; you must make a friend of horror...horror and moral terror.. are your friends...if not, they are enemies to be feared...the horror"....col Kurtz
