    Saturday looks like it's gonna be a party

    Eastern Oregon Backcountry Festival schedule:
    Saturday, Jan.21 – Anthony Lakes Mountain Resort

    8 a.m. – Kip Rand Memorial Uphill/Downhill Race. Arrive 15 minutes early to register for race at the EOBF booth located in front of the bottom floor of the main lodge. All participants must sign a release waiver and carry avalanche safety gear. Registration is FREE.

    10 a.m. – Avalanche Companion Rescue Clinic at Anthony Lakes. (Meet at EOBF booth outside the lower level of the lodge)

    1 p.m. – Avalanche Basics Clinic: snow profiles and stability tests in the AL backcountry.(Meet at EOBF booth outside the lower level of the lodge)

    3-6 p.m. – Live music in the afternoon at the Starbottle Saloon with Bag of Hammers

    It looks like they're all booked up but I'll check when we get there.

    They have shore power available for campers too, the place felt a lot like L4. There is some pretty good terrain surrounding the ski area for touring

    I-84 is closed in some places out east
    You might want to check ODOT Tripcheck a bit before you get rolling to make sure you have a route

    Word. We aren't leaving till Friday afternoon, so hopefully by then things will have calmed down a bit.

    Plan some alternate routes, getting past Pendleton sucks when the weather is bad
