I've replaced enough water mains to tell you that the water coming out of your tap is nasty. The bigger and older the city the worse it is. Kellogg ID falls into the old category and their mains have 1-2" of sludge in all of the pipes. It wont kill you but I don't think it will make you live longer either.

No matter how many times I explain it to her my wife will never believe that toilet water and sink water are the same water.

Is that a gender neutral bathroom?

Can you just set up on the baby changing table like that?

    I have questions.

I don't drink water out of faucet.
(though I end up drinking it at restaurant's "tap water")

There are tiny shrimps in NYC tap water.

I quite like NYC's tap water and have been told way too many times by locals how great it is and low little it needs to be processed.

Fun fact: if you simply order sparkling water (non branded) at Le Bernadin or Balthazar all you're getting is pumped tap water. Fine by me as I drink gallons of the fizzy stuff and don't care to pay extra for the privilege of having a label.

Back on topic: DD, do you ever find it gross to get tips in your office right after the patrons have flushed?

A lot of New Yorkers rave about the tap water and some believe the pizza is great because of the tap water.
I guess must be the micro shrimp flavor they love so much.
