    Arva Reactor Airbags

New airbag design from Arva, has anyone had the chance to play with one yet?

We played with them briefly at SIA. We spent quite a bit of time talking to the lead designer, who flew in from France. He knew his shit. They looked pretty cool, but finding canister exchanges would worry me, since Arva isn't big in NA. https://14erskiers.com/blog/2016/02/...at-sia-part-2/

I wound up buying a Reactor 32. Been pretty happy with it so far. It looks a little bulky at first, but most of that is due to the airbag running around the outside of the pack. Nice big avy tool compartment. Plenty of room inside for a long day with technical gear. I looked at the 24 but I didn't like the smaller tool compartment + the external straps. Ski carry works pretty well. It's a pretty nice, well thought out clean pack. Weight is the middle of the pack, but I think the extra pound or so is worth it to have a really functional pack (vs. the Mammut light, etc.)
