Way ahead of you dood!! Hats, hoodies, base layers, stickers etc - you name it the store will have it come opening day. There will also be some really cool limited run "trail series" shirts that highlight trails like Redline, Goniff, Talisman, Magician etc once we have time to get a handle on things.

I'm sporting my old school logo beanie right now actually! Love that old double M logo, and there will definitely be multiple eras of Magic logos on stuff too. Even regular reordering schedules to avoid the "fight to the death for the last one" scenario.

Reliable snowmaking on the west side is huge, races or not. If those new guns are being installed over there it should be great--a few years ago there was a solid few feet of base from snowmaking on Talisman. It would be great for that to become the norm, and for people to know that that's how things are at Magic.

Apparently Magic got a nice mention from Doug Lewis on NBC during the Kmart race the other day--he even said something about Talisman being a great race hill (and that Magic is 'alive and kicking'). Will verify as soon as I get back to my DVR.

After a hiatus of a few years, it looks like the wife and I are back at Magic this season. Look for us with our 14 month old stumbling around the lodge.

Hadn't seen the new thread. Awesome.

Edit to add a little flavor to it.

    How about trail map posters?

Just bought the 20's season pass. Awesome deal. I wish they had it back when I lived in the Albany area. Now I'll be coming in from Boston. Hopefully the snow will be worth it this year.

Snow Wizards used to give kids a sticker once they skied Red Line ( I remember when SOP2 went for his and they were sold out. Not a happy camper.) That was when it was skied from the top and they had poles setup to keep you from skiing into the chair.

I hope theres high quality logo gear. The shit from the past is an embarrassment. If you want a low budget option fine, but an investment in great gear will be appreciated.

This tickles my happy place. If work doesn't come up with a reason for me to get east this winter I'll have to make it happen anyway.

Lots of old men skiing Magic. Make sure you park upstairs and not downstairs and you will find people happy to show you around.

Speaking of this, anyone seen whats going on with the reconfiguration upstairs? Looked like they were moving the bar in front of the big windows starting about where "the couch" used to be, and from one of DW's posts it sound like there will be taps at the mini bar in the corner by the bathrooms across from the tuning room and/or at the service windows that haven't been used since I was a kid. I assume the tables displaced by the bar will be relocated to where the bar was. Any ideas if they're planning on setting aside tables for "resturant" seating?

There will be tables in the new reserved section. Let the maitre d' know you're a Dartmouth grad along with a wink and you should be able to get a table.

    That's awesome news!!!!
When I was a kid, magic was the jisp mountain for flood brook elementary but then it got moved to bromley for one reason or another. Would be rad if magic became the go to jisp mtn again cuz bromley and Stratton kinda blow. We used to add LSD to try and make bromley fun.

Do they still even have the jisp program in vt?

They would need to be open on weekday afternoons.

Glad to see this place get the resources it needs to be successful. Hoping to do an ON3P demo there once the season gets going.

From what I understand bar moved to where stage was for prime viewing via the A frame windows. Stage at opposite end of main A framed section. I do believe there will be a more permanent/active satellite beer bar area in the corner.

Congrats to Do Work (and to Magic for that matter). I didn't realize he was head of ops until I picked up my pass from Geoff last week. A skier of that caliber running operations - and Geoff running the full show - is awesome. Two of the most hard core dedicated faithful. The snow gods have to be happy.......

Long overdue props to all those, especially DW, who've had a hand in getting Magic back on the right track. Can't wait to get up there and reap the bounty this year.

I'd like to be a fly on the wall when DW gives Dave his performance review.

So do I only have until midnight to get the Throwback card for $99 or is that price good through the season?

LOL? I'm a little uncomfortable liking the FIFY.

TR nailed the dining table question below.

As far as additional beer taps, the mini-bar by the bathroom hallway is gone. They will have 4 taps in the "fast food" window area. Please, please, please get rid of that horrible jukebox.

This is correct on the bar location but not on the satellite beer taps; see above. BTW, they already fixed the soft spot in the floor by the corner of the old bar. Sub-structure was solid, just a stupid patch job of the underlayment that is now done right.
