It's actually gotten a little better. Not necessarily good, but getting there a few more options than when I first got here. The Chronic Taco in Avon is a good addition...hopefully can get a few more places like that.

No Se is bomber. Love it. Taco Rico is good, but I leave hungry. Maybe ordering the wrong stuff.
In general just the mid-range food options ala Yellowbelly, Chronic and whatnots. I don't complain, it's not the city, but I do the grocery store quite a bit which is for the best anyway.

    Vail life with a family?

Generally 2nd home owners don't get to vote and still pay taxes. The majority of which goes to the schools, were they have no kids attending.

My girlfriend in college's roommates father was a VP for VR with a house on Beaver Adam Road. We skied there, a lot.

I also spent the 1985-86 season there when they put in the Vistaban and three other HSQ's,
which was pretty revolutionary at the time.

It's not the steepest hill, but it still has some really consistent conditions and I really learned to open it up in the back bowls. I still have some friends there and Kloser's one the most badass dudes around.

My only problem with Vail has been with VR's business model.
