    196 cm Countdown 114 Request

The kind folks at Downskis have consented to consider building a 196 cm Countdown 114.

    EDIT:
Achieved the number required for the model to be built: 389E=430$ .

this is of interest, but I can't afford sticks at retail, so just a bump for something that intrigues me

Their regular 114s are only €489.00 so ~$540

That's no attitude soldier. Buck up, grab that checkbook by the tits and heave-ho.

right now, i'm buying gear for the growing grom every year...my shit is stagnant for the moment
but, damn, it'd be nice for us larger folk to find larger sticks available

any idea on volume needed to make it happen?
is this a TGR buy for next summer?

Seeing as how they need a quorum of like minded longski k00ks to actually buy a pair, this is where I figured I'd adverstise the opportunity.

    Techtalk too?
The rockered ones? I really enjoyed trying paxti's for a day. I think I offered to buy his pair

Understood about putting the kids first: I have 2 with very uncertain income future right now.
I think they need like 15 orders, but I'd have to check that.

It's the Countdown model. Not a whole lot of rocker, which is what I like. For example, I think current DPS skis have more rocker than I want and I like the countdown profile.

I think I paid closer to $300 in the 2015 group buy.

€489.00 is price on their site today http://www.downskis.com/14-15-skis/countdown-114 for the 189 version.

I'm very happy with them, fun ski. Nice company.

I hadn't noticed there was a new model year.

But $560 is still a damn good price for a handmade boutique ski.

Ah, I tried the showdowns. I'll look at them a little later.

I really don't need new skis right now

I voted. Like that idea. Would like it even better on a group buy price. Perhaps if there's enough traction for the 196 they'd move a little on the price since they'll sell them all to the voters?

Price for backers/voters is the same as presale pricing.

You're helping us finance a new length, so of course you'll be rewarded for it.

Thanks for your help in spreading the word and increasing our lineup!
