    WTB cheep combi pedals

My wife finally started riding her old MTB again. She wants something she can use SPD (or other style cleats) shoes and flats with. Right now she's running some of those plastic inserts but I'd like to get her a proper pedal.

    Hook me up bitches!

There are those times you wana use non spd shoes so my take is just keep using those plastic inserts cuz the combi pedals are both priceyer & heavier

still what combo's are good for is convincing nervous people they actualy can use SPD's and have the flats to fall back on but once they learn to use SPD's and realize they won't be trapped in the pedals to be eaten by bears or wolves ... they never use the Flats again eh

Get some of the Deity compound pedals (relatively inexpensive) and some good shoes. She'll be all set. Combi pedals are a compromise, and flats with good shoes are just as good and more confidence inspiring. I've been riding flats exclusively for 2 years and love 'em.
