2016 SW Colorado catops?
Hey all - anyone know current info on catops in SW Colorado/San Juans? Are they all gone? Sanjuanuntracked.com is not coming up(nor has it been for a while), phones are not getting answered, sanjuansnowcat.com is dead, silvertoncatskiing.com seems to be the only one with a presence.
Anyone?

Yup, familiar with the non-SW entities. The Jeep Tour place is promising. Thanks!

Aspen Powder Tours was better than Monarch or Ski Cooper.
They stage at the top of the Gondi and you ride up at 8am. So your at altitude and skiing by 9.
Plus they're owned by the SkiCo and not trying to pay the bills.
If it's not good, they don't go!

well if the 1360 acres at Purgatory is vast there is always Wolfcreek with 1600 acres. They also have a cat access area so you can have that special experience. 5 turns to flat but usually high quality 5.

Kind of depends on your definition of SW, but you could add Irwin and Aspen Powder Tours.
APT was skiing McFarland's Monday and the skiing was good, on pretty decent terrain.
The nice thing about APT, it's owned by the ski co and run more as an amenity, than a profit center.
The guy that runs it is a good guy and if it's not good, they don't go.
I've seen some smaller ops, that have bills to pay, put clients on some pretty marginal conditions.

Is San Jaun Snowcat out of Creede still going? Bunch of years back it was for sale and I was actually interested in buying it in a pipe dream kinda way. Looked like some good terrain, but don't see any current info about it.
