    2016/2017 Southern Interior BC

Holy crap, I don't have the patience to wait on one of you lazy bastards to get this thing started! It's snowed up high recently but I'm grounded till my day care starts up again next week. Anyone get some novelty turns?! Last year this time we were shoop shooop shooooopping down some pow.

No novelty turns here. Had two rad days in the Purcells shredding the shit out of Farnham Glacier. Solid crew of 6 spanked it hard, this was actual skiing/snowboarding. 10cm of light ass pow on Saturday, probably another 5cm and some heat turned things creamy on Sunday, crust was forming by 6PM though...

Excellent idea. We're at +1 braaap-mobile so far, up from zero, looking to go +2 for the season - we'll be in your neck of the woods more often this season.

Saw a rather optimistic soul carrying skis up to the Asulkan Hut yesterday. The glacier is skiable but that is a long hike to get a few turns in.

It sure looks white up there after yesterday's storm. I've been sick all week, so I'm being responsible and am not up on McCrae today getting in some turns on rocks and grass in the sun. I eagerly await for the pictures to turn up on the Internet.

Most people stuck to the meadows and the little chutes above the upper lake on Saturday. There were surprisingly few tracks on the glacier. I went back on Sunday and there were far fewer people there and the wind filled in all the tracks in another zone. They were easily the best October turns I've ever had. We measured a metre of snow in the meadows and about 1.2 m on the glacier.

I'm heading up tomorrow . I think it's best option for terrain+access . Some fun yo-yo laps to be had just above the high lake.
