How cold was it? Cold enough for me to WANT Hefe to pee on me. Best B/C golden shower I have had in a long time."Its not the arrow, its the Indian" - M.Pinto

the top of Happy Valley looked like a lift off load station the other day... on the up side, the established skin track (even though it was meandering) , was a nice alternative to breaking trail.
the tide has finally risen in the pinnacles, agreed.... its time to shred closer to home."Its not the arrow, its the Indian" - M.Pinto

Oh my, you know there are alternatives like down jackets and heated socks?? But who am I to judge, whatever works for you... Ha!

More of a de-icing technique than a rewarming technique.... and Hefe's urine has far more alcohol and urea than a normal persons, so I estimate that it's suitable for de-icing below -10.
Not to mention, It's dangerous to rewarm something in such a cold environment if you are unable to sustain the increased temps.
besides, neither heated socks, nor puffy jackets come with that fresh asparagus smell."Its not the arrow, its the Indian" - M.Pinto

His boot was locked into walk mode, wouldn't engage into ski. Ice needed to be melted, its the best way with Cochises. I actually had to self serve myself the day before. #talent

Got to bump this back above the old one on page 1.
Some most excellent skiing was had over the holidays. I am glad I got it in now that I am icing my knee at the office this week. Getting close to 40 and the body doesn't like 20+ to semi flat landings anymore.
Bobby Badman is smooth.
Cmcrawfor staying warm in the sun when it was -20c
Kodak Courage = sore knee and hip. Take me out back and shoot me.

^^^HaHa! I can relate. Had the same thought after an ill advised run through the park recently. Since pain and humiliation isn't enough of a deterrent, just take me out behind the Griz and unceremoniously shoot me please.... Or fuck, I guess it's time to start considering that whole "aging gracefully" concept, fuck fuck fuck.
Here's hoping a little ice goes a long way."The skis just popped me up out of the snow and I went screaming down the hill on a high better than any heroin junkie." She Ra

Ha. Age is all in the head. Sure, you may have to watch the food intake and work a bit more on the stretching, but no need for shooting behind the barn yet.
Another sunny day outing at the pass. Skied Rogers, then tried Swiss but was running out of sunlight. Windblown up high, but the lonepine path was powder all the way to the highway...
Came across a couple of guys trying Swiss. If your on here, nice run and thanks again for the shot of scotch!

Since there have been no TR from the gorge, I'm going to assume the road is no longer being maintained?

Been doing some urban grassland skiing the past week.
This was sunday, was actually really good. Did do a bit of a number on my base though, sort of kind of rocky up here above OK Lake.
This was from last Thursday when the moon was still popping and it was -20. Really fun night and good skiing, no rocks were hit.
Local hills around here need a top up with some heavier snow, hopefully it doesn't just fly over us and hammer revy like it has been doing for months.www.skevikskis.com Check em out!

Nice! Been wait to hit some of the local hills here, but no base at all over here... May have to go to sparkling hills this weekend, so will bring rock skis...
Hey Netter... heard they are still plowing, but haven't been to confirm.

Excellent work Hefe .. while you were out scoping the not so deepy deepy Urban scene, I punched first tracks into Vista Pass and toured around Ingersoll.
WTF is up with the weather? 2000m FL for Silver Star? I hope that's not reflective of the region.
