05-24-2005, 08:22 PM #3That's pretty cheap. You are flying 11k miles or so. Pick a good FF program and you are well on your way to a free ticket.

I have consistently found the fares will go up and down over the next three months. We were monitoring them last August and they went down around $720, but by the time we bought, they were around $780.
Now is not the time to book.
They will drop, based on the last ten years of watching.

My friend just went down there and he found cheap flights from miami or somewhere in Florida and then found a cheap flight from Denver to FL. I thing it was like $400-500 total

Try Sidestep.com. I just searched for a flight from Denver to Buenos Aires leaving 9-1-05 and returning 9-15-05 and the price was $895.28 on American Airlines. If you install their plugin, it's even cheaper - $887.93.

Someday a maggots going to either win the lottery, or steal a private jet (prolly the latter) and charter trips to BA, I'm holding out for that.

Typically they will have e fares around $500, but they are pretty restrictive on changes.

Your best bet will be a pass, if you want flexability. I should be able to cover you, just wait till next week.

Blurred check www.lanchile.com
If you can fly on short notice they always have some cheap rates. They are also the best airline i've ever been on!!
Anyways I just looked and Miami to Mendosa is $439 + tax. A few weeks ago they had Miami-Mendosa for $189.

That should probably read: despegar.com (meaning to take off)

Consider buying two separate tickets if a cheap flight appears from Miami or Houston or something...then just find a $200 flight from DIA to whichever city. Saved me hundreds when I went to SA a few years ago.

i think that price came around late july.
last season i never saw them dip that low. i think the key is just to keep monitoring the situation with prices and snow. set a limit for what you can spend. if it happens, then you go. if it doesnt, you put it off for another year.

Jeebus dudes!!?
500 dollars, and you still are wondering wether not to go?
Cheapest flights from this part of yrup was around 1100euros (1500$),
cheapest prices have been around 900euros.
As a bonus, because of the carrier code share shit, maximum luggage is
20kgs...
It has luxuriously two stopovers on the old continent, and the first carrier consideres it as a EU internal flight with the max 20kg limit.
I asked for how much extra few kilos would cost and they stated
that it is...169euros to BA and 70 euros back.
AND they want to charge extra of the skis, since they are bulky package.
Why they treat skis as normal luggage if i would direct transfer flight
to Madrid, or any normal route flights for that matter, they could not tell.
Fuckers.

So as a european, arguing about if the flight costs 500 or 600$ seems a bit ridiculous.
Just take the goddam flights if you want to ski.
The floggings will continue until morale improves.
