Binding screw glue for plastic plates

I acquired a pair of GS boards in an attempt to make the mid winter dry spell a little more fun. They came with an integrated binding plate that appears to be plastic. Should one utilize the same waterproof wood glue one uses for standard mounts or something more exotic? Should I PM Greg from alpinezone?

No glue needed. You're not trying to keep water out of anywhere.

    Binding glue serves three purposes:
    1. Lubricating the screw.
    2. Sealing out water.
    3. Dampening the vibrations on the screw.
In your case, use it for lubrication. It will help keep the plastic baseplate from cracking. No mount should be "dry", really.
