Vinyl cancelled
Yeah, a mess of a show, but, I liked it for its focus on a pivotal moment in R&R. Had its moments, and promise. Somebody new arrived in a top position at HBO and killed it.

Beleive it was killed a while ago. While I love that period, I could only get through about 1.5 episodes. found it...uninteresting.

Bad show, not a loss. I didn't care about any of characters or what they were doing. I quit watching about 1/2 way through.

The first episode was enough for me, I never watched another. Things were crazy enough back then, they really didn't need to exaggerate them I felt.

Bummed to see that... I thought it had real potential to go someplace. The twists were cliche but it seemed like it might dive into the birth of hip hop and it's relationship with punk....
It was one of the shows I rooted for b/c of potential I guess.www.dpsskis.com

The guy playing ritchie kinda sucked. Juno Temple is hot in a weird way.

Having spent a good bit of time on the road in the '80's I can assure you this is the most sanitized vision of that life I could possibly imagine. Crew holding hands in a circle first thing in the morning? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
The reality if the morning is a bunch of grumpy, tired, jaded, hung over guys stumbling (or falling) out of their bus bunks, the stench of the bus bathroom, grumbling about local crew, trying to find more blow. Doing it 'for the music'? Nah. It's a job. Fun show to watch, but all that touchy-feely shit is crap.
It's a little surprising since Cameron Crowe should know what the real life is like, as should Kelly Curtis (long time Pearl Jam manager) who I believe is an EP on the show.
