    Looking for Advice on Camping in SLC/Ogden Area

    I'm delivering a car to Seattle from VT and am looking for ideas for some cool/easy camping in the SLC/Ogden Utah area. Will be coming thru this weekend.

    LCC and Hwy 65 going up to Big Mountain Pass has cool spots. Big Mountain Pass is not far off i80 if you don't have much time to go to LLC. Lots of other choices. Farmington Canyon between SLC and Ogden goes way the 'eff up in the mountains quickly, dirt road though.

    I'd go up a canyon to avoid the heat.

    I camped at Utah Lake State Park once. Not sure how "cool" it would be, or if you'd be able to find a spot on a weekend, though.

    Do you need to be in or around salt lake? I'd probably camp on the mirror kale highway somewhere
