I think he meant that with those 4 going together and the peloton disorganized and fighting the wind that they could create a big enough gap that could not be closed prior to the finish. It was actually closer than I thought at the end, only 5 seconds. On the other hand, well, I'll let you guys speculate.

edit: FWIW, you did hear Phil say that somebody told him today would be the day that Quintana lost the race. Can't remember who it was that told him that and I don't think it's lost but it's another example of how you have to take advantage of every chance Sky gives you because you never know when you're going to get jumped and hung out to dry.
