How wild was that to see a 4 man group with Green and Yellow finishing ahead of the field on a sprint stage... wow.

Wonder what that means. Either a) he knew Sky wouldn't be working at the front of the chase, or b) he thinks Froome is on some hopped up, next-level shit that turned him into a fuggin cyborg.
Even with Froome's showing I'd still rather have whatever the fuck Sagan is on. That dude is out of this world with what he does physically on a bike. Mind boggling.

At that point the sprinter teams would be the main teams pulling, so I'd tend to say B. And Huckbucket, please, we all know what Sagan is on:
haha that commercial still cracks me up. Most likely Sagan and Dawg on the same expensive ass doping program that will get revealed in another two years. That's how he knew!

I think he meant that with those 4 going together and the peloton disorganized and fighting the wind that they could create a big enough gap that could not be closed prior to the finish. It was actually closer than I thought at the end, only 5 seconds. On the other hand, well, I'll let you guys speculate.
edit: FWIW, you did hear Phil say that somebody told him today would be the day that Quintana lost the race. Can't remember who it was that told him that and I don't think it's lost but it's another example of how you have to take advantage of every chance Sky gives you because you never know when you're going to get jumped and hung out to dry.The Sheriff is near!

Looking forward to seeing what Sagan brings on the xc mtb in Rio..
For velogames he's a no-brainer. Expensive, but the sure thing Green Jersey pays for itself in points.

This!
Planning, contingent strategies.....that stuff never leaves the champion for more than a second or two, but you can bet that a strong man knows another strong man and what will work. Each having close support is just a condition of life for the domestique and his leader, no conspiracy needed to arrange that. The instant recognition is the thing.... #eyeofthetigerThe sad truth is that whine does not age well

I'll watch this time around.
Road speed is an amazing asset, in cross* anyway. I can't see it being anything less in Olympic MTB
* Observed firsthand (many years ago) when Tillford came straight from the PanAm road team to dominate the Cross Nats at Plymouth, Mass., putting a whupping on past, current and future champions...and on this regional guy.The sad truth is that whine does not age well

BTW...there are some critical stages yet. Anybody within 4 minutes just might be able to pull out most of it ibn the Alps. We shall see if Froome left anything in the tank for tomorrow's TT. ...no walk in the park, that!
