He's an asshole, and maybe that was exacerbated by excessive drug use, but the drug use in itself is not a problem. I think the world would be a better place if more people used psychedelic drugs on occasion.

While I agree with your take on drug use in general, it can be destabilizing for some people. Particulrly people who are somewhat unstable to start with, like, oh, Elmo. And the Feds will likely not be amused, as the article notes, if they are forced to deal with it. They won't want to deal with it because they'd have to act and Space-X has become a valuable tool for them but if they do feel forced to act it won't be pretty for Elon's wallet.

Had to check the chart and you're right. Interesting. Such a volatile stock. Between the antics, fails and competition - 2024 might be an interesting year for TSLA. I can find a lot of reasons to be pessimistic on it, but it often seems to defy gravity. Who knows? Hard to predict when 'potential' meets the reality of expectations. Probably tons of fun for day/interim traders.

Tesla = second worst reliability ratings for cars sold in America. Virtually every car company in the world makes a more reliable vehicle than Tesla and somehow this is China's fault?

Elon is already moving on from EVs because his cred is failing. He's desperately trying to make Tesla an AI and robotics play because Elon is all about making bank off of bullshit promises about the future. That's the Elon game: make wild unachievable techno-utopian promises and then move on before people notice he never really delivered.

Ya, they got cars. Of course, they don't have the promised range, quality control or automated driving features. So now Elno needs big government subsidies, steep price discounts and protective tariffs to sell his rock bottom of the reliability index vehicles. Which is also why he's desperately trying to pivot Tesla to AI and robotics. He knows Tesla's valuation as an EV manufacturer is a total joke.
