Winter / Skiing Photography Tips?
I recently upgraded to a dslr.. I've got a good grasp on the basics of photography, and learning to use the camera and settings.
I plan on taking it skiing / touring quite a bit and was wondering if any of you guys have any good tips?
I've read up on the tutorials and all over the internets.
Ziplock bag and taking care to cool down or warm up slowly. Keeping batteries warm. All that is pretty straightforward.
If you've spent alot of time with a nice camera in/around snow I'd love to hear any pointers you have.

Don't trust your exposure meter. Use sunny 16 rule when you can and/or your histogram to choose your exposure.

Keep your camera accessible and use weather sealed lenses. I always use a Lowe Pro bag with a sling. Always have extra batts and an extra memory card. Have a lens wipe and a small chamois.

I used 5600K for sunny or mixed daylight color temp, 6000K for overcast temp, but allow for an increase or change when using a polarizing filter. I also find auto WB changes in accuracy depending on camera model.
