Some guy just ran the London Marathon in ski boots.

    http://www.planetski.eu/news/7939

8 hrs, 1 minute, blistering speed.

    An impressive feat.

    Raised some money, to boot.

    Mondo 26.2

Probably the last time he'll do that.

His friends kept instep with him.

Mile 12: Had to buckle down.

    Shellshocked at finish.

    Sole survivor.

Try to keep the off the cuff remarks to a minimum.

But seriously, a bizarre yet awesome achievement, and his story is great too.

    Maggot?

I wonder if he had any toe nails left?

I once walked about six miles in ski boots (because I foolishly thought I'd be on snow the whole time), lost both big toe nails and my toes were so sore I couldn't put on my climbing shoes for a month

Did you read the article? Like his buddy said, "Pain is temporary, glory is eternal". He's come out the other end from several things that can fuck you up permanently and that's what he's raising money for.
    It's pretty damn inspirational.
