I liked Gareth Edward's Monsters and take on Godzilla. Will be interesting to see where he takes this.

I don't know if wearing Rouge is the right makeup for the star wars universe though.

    Attending.

I know this is supposed to be a "Force Awakens" prequel, but let this be the last we see of the "Death Star". Surely the Empire has more than one idea to destroy the Rebel Alliance, and that one is not working.

    It's a new hope prequel.

    Isn't it?

Edit: yes it is.... so this will be the first time we hear about Death Star.

Or that it doesn't yet destroy the rebel Alliance.

    Technically.

Season 2 of star wars rebels kicked ass, best work Disney has done with the franchise yet.

Oh, so this is between ep. 3 and ep. 4? Got it. I thought it was between 6 and 7. All the same, I think we can all agree the Death Star is not the right weapon for the job and I can really do without seeing DS v. 4.0 in ep. 8.

Rebels is doing a good job of keeping the hardcore fans happy. Perhaps a better job than the new movies.

I thought it was fake at first too.

But now I've watch it a dozen times or so, and I'm stoked to see it. Really nice to see some '77-style supplied-by-Home-Depot set pieces, since it's supposed to be an Episode IV prequel.

Looks awesome, could suck but based on the fact that we have watched Force Awakens 4 times since it came out on on iTunes, it would have to really really suck to not be liked.

Gonna be dark as fuck, too, since none of the folks who got the Death Star plans made it into Ep. 4.

Clone Wars and Rebels creator's description of Ashoka's post Clone Wars story sounds interesting. (warning: that video is 1 hour)

    Official Rebels season 3 trailer:

    OK, nerd-gasm completed.

I think they're inevitably going to get in over their heads. Like if Maul is such a badass, how come he never showed up to see what Luke was up to a few years down the line. Sure, it's a big universe, but it's not like there are prophesied force users on every planet... same with this admiral. I don't care too much as long as the content is compelling but at some point the loose ends get annoying. they're cramming a lot of stuff into 25 years or so, right?

Might make sense to finish this season, kill everyone, and then have that writing team go make some badass EU stuff about the Sith before the rule of two (Sith academy or whatever) that not everyone can nit-pick.

Well he did get cut in half by Obi Wan. Then a bunch of shit happened according to his Wookieepedia page but by the Time "A New Hope" starts he's pretty much out of the picture. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Darth_Maul
