Lived in Shippensburg for several months in the early 90's, and cut my teeth as a pool player at Cuenique, at Strawberry Square.
I wouldn't make the mistake of not at least considering suicide.

Great mountain biking around that area, not a lot of huge climbs and drops but really fun flowy trails. If you ever wanted to get into climbing the Gunks are close by. There are worse places to live, close to some great cites and culture and plenty of space to get outdoors and get away from the crowds.

Yea I guess it's not the end of the world. Just really sucks going from VT to south central PA on the snow sliding side of things. I mean even this winter at least I'm still skiing a couple times a week. Gunna be really difficult to do that down there.
I've done a bit of research today and have seen there's some pretty good fishing to be had in the Harrisburg area which is a huge plus for me. Suppose I could put up with some flowy mtb as well, though I'm still at an age where jumping off tall stuff is fun, maybe that never goes away for some.

Mighty Roundtop is just outside of town!
An old maggot who used to post here and at Powmag, Kush, 1. made a damn good effort on becoming a pro; 2. is from Harrisburg; and 3. interned at TGR.

Unfortunately not, there are out of Baltimore though.
No shit! That's awesome news, that place was completely off my radar (for obvious reasons). Buy hey, looks better than the Mighty Gaw which I grew up skiing at.
x2 on the spring fed streams and wild brookies. The muskies and stripers should be fun on the fly as well.

You get the right wind direction and you'll smell chocolate.
That doesn't suck!

At least you have York to look down on. Or Reading. Yeah, Reading, now there's a city without hope.

Never heard of the Gunks? Only world class climbing a few hours away. Try to get out more often Benny.
