Nobody under them, but if I had to analyze the tracks, a splitboarder tipped over by a tree, the poles fell off their pack, then they got up and scooched off.

This harkens back to the time when some guests walk into my shop with a backpack from the resort, full of beer! While they contest that they found it, I said they should put it back where they found it because they just stole someones beer stash.
Same thing applies here I think.
