2016 MLB Thread
28 days till pitchers and catchers report.
Big news yesterday: PETE ROSE WILL GO INTO THE HALL THIS YEAR! (the Reds Hall of Fame that is)
And he had a great quote when asked about the statue he will eventually get outside of Great American Ballpark, "I just hope it's not of me at the $2 window at Turfway". Classic.
Early season predictions? Whatcha got?
In the AL I say the Tribe rolls to the ALCS and blows a 3-0 lead in Cleve-tastic fashion.
Houston and KC should both be the teams to watch with TOR close behind.
In the NL the STL-CHC rivalry just got even better with Heyward jumping sides. I expect either to make the series with NYM competing too.
Bring on spring training, and the booze-fueled golf trips that accompany it.I still call it The Jake.

In the NL West, I'm looking forward to see if Arizona can compete with their recent heavy investments. I think the NL West is going to be the most exciting division overall.

I'm excited to watch young phillies for the first time in 3-4 years. They got REAL old real fast and it sucked watching them gasp and wheeze around out there. Good trades restocked the farm and some real young talent seems to be ready to step up. That feeling is what now....oh yea...hope for the future.
I'm really looking forward to watching the Cubs break their fans hearts again. 94 wins and a crushing loss in the NLCS sounds about right for them this year.

Until they start throwing goats on the field like they do octopi for Red Wings games that curse is going to stay firmly in place.

Nice to have a game on even if it's the Sox v. Boston College.
I didn't know that Dave O'Brian was taking Orsillo's spot, I'm still not sure wy they let Orsillo go but O'Brian is a good choice. Orsillo landed with the Padres, that should be pleasant for him.
