In the YouTube comments, Christian (the rider) claims that they did not duck any ropes. It looks like only two sets of tracks in that gully beforehand so either they hit it right after it opened or that area was closed. I'm thinking the latter.

I like how the first priority after not getting killed is to clean the lens of the GoPro. Good thinking.

Yeah, that's what I thought when I saw this in the Tahoe thread. Even after that gotta keep adjusting the camera to keep the faces in the frame.

This is a good tutorial for how you should ski lightly in avalanche terrain and not blindly huck everything in sight. I doubt the first couple of tracks down that gully hucked into it putting so much stress on the snowpack.

Yeah but how many think like that when they're skiing inbounds (if the area was open at the time).

Was it? I tread lightly on the fringes of my home hill where I know there hasn't been a lot of traffic. I don't huck off bigger stuff anyways.

its a good thing they were checking out there sick vids vs being concerned about hang fire or injuries masked by adrenaline. doesnt appear to have avy gear, whether in bounds or not im not sure.
