Aim for the chopping block. If you aim for the wood, you will have nothing. Aim past the wood, aim through the wood.

Not perfect, but then trying to capture three kids at the same time is pretty much impossible

Adding one from this morning, I'm not yet sure which one I'm going to drop from the contest.

thanks.. Baldies congregate on the Nooksak river every December and early Jan to feast on the spawned out dead chums... there was a chum carcass that all the eagles would take their turn on.. swooping in and chasing off the current feeder... this happened over and over.. it was way cool..

here's another I considered for this MPC.. but couldn't crop it to get the other eagle out well enough

they'd even fight over carcasses in the air... unfortunately my AF.. didn't

decent shots.. tho they pale in comparison to mtcham's (John's) eagle pics.. in hind site I wish I had kicked the iso up a notch... next winter I'll have a new lens that should help quite a bit.. esp the BIFs

What lens have you been using for the eagle shots? If I remember right you have an em5 m2?

Yeah.. good memory.. those were shot with the 40-150 2.8 .... on some others I also used the 1.4 converter...

I'm still getting to know the camera.. like it a lot... I've preordered the new 300 F4.. and the next iteration of the EM1 is rumored to be announced this fall

Those eagle shots are beautiful.... nice work man. We've got the occasional baldy around here north of Boulder, but I never seem to have my camera with me when I see them.

Took some with my crappy point and shoot while skiing. The winter here in NH has sucked, but at least I got out.
