I think I found the problem. The attachments folder had incorrect file permissions after I upgraded vBulletin last week. I changed it back and Dunfee is testing it now.
Sorry about that.

There is an option "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" that is checked by default. This will store a copy of it, similar to uploading it from your local machine, so subject to the same attachment limits.
Even if unchecked, it might try to store preview sizes. Try unchecking that box for your image and see if that does anything different. If not, paste the image URL in here and I'll take a deeper look.

Responded to post. Hit insert image. Hit tab that says from computer, click upload photo. Then nothing. Screen goes a few shades lighter, but nothing else. So anyway, can't upload a photo.

I tried to respond to a post, and imbed a picture in my reply.
After I select the picture, I hit save(the only option),
And nothing happens,ie no picture is added.
Btw, this is in the app for my android phone.

You are using Tapatalk app titled "TGR Forums", correct? Please make sure the app is up to date.
Not denying that the issue exists, but here is a quick test from my phone.

Dunfee, check out the padded room special collection and let us know why the photos won't show up for us.

I'm a newb at this. So I tried to use the insert image button, and then cut and paste a url from Google Photos, it says error:invalid file. Any tips on how to make this work? Is Google Photos not an appropriate host?
