    6:20 am, May 10, 18" new, bluebird...Oh god.

    Holy schnikies. Can't sleep, just checked Squaw's website and the ubercam (controllable camera) and it looks ALL-time. Absolutely bluebird, absolutely insane. Take a look at squaw.com, go to the ubercam and use the presets (go to Palisades, Granite Peak, whatever for fastest look)

    If you happen to check the camera from 9:35 or so thru 11, 11:30, you'll probably catch the Palisades getting pillaged. That is, if they allow hiking today...The Chimney is pasted. Things will get rallied. The rest of the mountain looks like a smaller Alaska. Unfortunately we've got to take a packed tram to start it all. Then the race will begin--if they give us everything. With 4-5 patrollers on staff left, who knows. I imagine I'll be reporting back in a few hours.

    dude - schmidiots looks ridiculously filled in...anyone battling for control of the ubercam better have that fucker trained on the palisades when shit starts to get hit! anyone know how to save frame grabs from there?

    No-- there's a little button that looks like a camera. If you push it (pop-up blocker off) it opens a new window with the screen shot. Right-click-save-as.

    pretty sure it is 8:00 pst right now. i would think 9:45-ish pst? it would be pretty sweet if we had frame grabs of huck et al in a thread with this title...

    I think it's going to a lot later than that unless ski patrol guys with skimobiles are up there first

    this is the kind of day when Squaw ought to open Siberia for the hard core locals to reward them for standing in the KT line for hours all season long

    what would it cost for one guy to stand there for a few hours?
