    The skiing in the Milky Way is great too (I liked Montegenevre /Claviere better than Sestriere) but it's a lot further from Milan and in that event, there's Cervinia and Courmayeur let alone St. Moritz which blew my mind despite the glitzy rep (see http://hotelpension-hauser.ch/ for affordable rooms)



    where the "little area" of Lagalb is only about 2400 vertical foot drop (mostly advanced runs), both Corvatch and Corviglia exceed 4300 vertical with acres and acres of untracked.
