Are the new 2015-2016 Lange XT 130 boots with what they call the "WTR" soles compatible with existing alpine DIN bindings (Pivots, Griffons, etc) or do they require using new dual norm bindings?

Negative on alpine bindings with the exception of Warden, STH2 WTR, Lord SP, and Pivot 14 WTR Dual, at least in terms of binding indemnification. The Look catalog also listed an AFD for the Pivot 18 that accommodates WTR soles, with a SKU, but it may be hard to find. Be aware that there is some political infighting between the Lange/Dynastar/Look camp and the K2/Marker camp on the subject of sole compatibility.
Are the sole inserts that come with the boots new WTR compatible or do you have to get replacement WTR rocker sole inserts from Lange? It seems strange that Lange would change one of their more popular boots to be incompatible with all the other bindings on the market, not to mention all the existing mounted skis. I ask because I see separate replacement WTR rocker inserts on Lange's web site.
Do the WTR soles have the same screw pattern as the original RX? I need to order new soles this season and would prefer the WTR.
I believe the boot should come with both WTR and din soles. and yes, it is the same screw pattern.
It turns out the new model Lange XT 130 lv boots from Evo only come with the WTR sole inserts and they cannot supply any of the alpine inserts according to several conversations I had with them today.
Not what their rep or trade literature says, but I will look in the box when I see a pair. As for evo, even though they don't seem to show any for sale at the moment, I bet their customer care people could locate a pair of ISO 5355 soles, they are very good at tracking stuff like this down.
Yes, Lange's website is clear about that. I had purchased the last pair Evo had online in their Labor Day Sale ($307 delivered). They came without the 5355 inserts in a beat up box for a different model, no plastic bags, no manual, with dirty soles. Most likely they were a floor display? I called to get the ISO 5355 inserts from customer service twice and spoke with different people. They both spoke with the stock manager and said none of the ones they had came with alpine soles so sending them back for an exchange wouldn't help. They also said they could not get me the sole inserts separately. I have usually had good service from Evo but the whole thing sounded a little fishy to me. I sent them back.
You got the 2016 XT 130 for $307 (Almost $400 under MAP) and you returned it because it didn't come with a $50 part that you could order from Lange/Rossi directly...?
It looked like this:

Yes, that is it. It had the white cuff and without the "XT" on the side of the toe. I am still in talks with them about this issue, not done yet.
Way under cost for a 2016 XT 130 LV for fall delivery. It sounds like there are two possibilities - either evo screwed up and shipped you a 2016 boot, in which case you should have graciously accepted the gift and quietly bought some ISO 5355 soles somewhere on the web like here: http://shop.sport65.de/Lange-RX-RS-G...ml?language=en - or they shipped you a 2015 (or 2014) model which already had ISO 5355 soles on it but you mis-identified them as WTR soles and sent the boots back even though they were a killer deal . . .
OK, I just got off the phone with Evo and this is what we finally figured out. The Labor Day sale was for 2015 Lange XT 130 LV 26.5 boots (that size/width has always fit me well out of the box) for $307. I got the last pair listed in stock on their web page. However, the last one they had listed in stock was in fact a pair of 2016 XT 130 LV 26.5 (white cuff, black V-lock 2.0 mechanism, WTR sole inserts) that had apparently been used in their ski show exhibit somewhere. The 2016 box with the alpine DIN sole inserts was probably lost and the boots (with WTR inserts) were just put in an old beat up Lange box on which they put a label mis-identifying them as a 2015 model. So, when I called their customer service they had no idea what I was talking about with 2015 XT 130 boots coming with two different sole inserts and so I sent them back thinking that the alpine inserts were just not available. Yeah, I can claim advanced age for being a little dense sometimes.
I just got off the phone with Evo and they are going to send them back to me (for the same $307). They were very understanding. Now that I understand what happened, I just have to find DIN sole inserts that fit the 2016 Lange XT 130. What a long, strange trip its been!
Do anyone know where I can order ISO 5355 soles online for my XT 130 boots?
Thanks
