Hauula HI advice?
What advice would you have for a college age kid moving there? Things to do and more importantly, not to do.

Photo doesn't show. Is this too specific? How about advice on the windward side of Oahu.

I've spent time in this area, and I'd say it's very peaceful, but not a lot of east side surf waves here. Pricey too.
Head south to Kaneohe Bay / Lanikai Beach for swimming and other chill activities ...
Good thing is that you're close enough to drive west and hit the north shore for good surf contest viewing in the winter and scuba diving and snorkeling in the summer.
If you are a good surfer you should already know this information.
Cool restaurant and namesake rock formation called Lions Head in the area ...
Many Mormons in Laie ... Maybe run into Manti Teo!

Hopefully the Mormon culture there isn't as overbearing as it is in Utah.
