Mammoth Mini Gimp Report
Since I was a partial gimp (no ski action for me) I went MTB instead. It wasn't skiing but it still didn't suck.
Saturday I went down to Bishop and rode the buttermilk road from near where it starts to basically the snow line. About 2500-3000 feet of low angle fire road climbing and a high speed decent that took over a half hour.
Sweet views on the way up of some east side giants.
Came across this guy sunning on the road.
At the top there were some fine views. Looking across Bishop to the White Mountains. I started waaaaaay down below the grey and red hills in the foreground.
Also, a pic of wind ripping off the top of Mt. Tom
Sunday while the crew was going BC up Rock Creek Canyon, I rode the first 3 miles of the Lower Rock Creek trail. That is some fun ass single track. Its swooping and fast and goes along a truely beautiful stream canyon. I need to ride the whole thing someday when I have more time.

nice lego! that rattler looks scary, man, how close were you to that thing when you snapped the pic?
that trail you did sunday is supposed to be a sweet single track, never ridden it, but on my list of "to do's" for the east side....how long is that bad boy (in the summer when its all clear), any idea?

If you keep going it drops into a deep canyon and becomes way more technical. That lasts for like 6 more miles and drops you out at Paradise which is around 2000 feet lower in the owens valley. From ther you either ride back up the road in a torture climb or get in your car shuttle that you have parked there earlier and drive back
