Scrolling thru the list and getting to the bottom I start to think--- no gently weeps-- no the end!!??? Phew. I think they got those two right.

Still i think "and your bird can sing" and "hard day's night" could be replaced with maybe "baby you can drive my car" and "get back"... Even "let it be" had a great solo

Yesterday's guitar is also fucking rad.

"honey pie" as well- it has some great guitar. At least I found it really fun to play...

Haven't gone to the link yet but I have to agree with Let it Be. Problem is the original (at least the first version that I am familiar with) never gets played anymore. The guitar solo that you are referring to is replaced by an organ-intro tamed down guitar solo. I think this started happening in about 1990.

    That was awesome - thanks.
Who knew prince had chops like that. Did he just chuck that guitar into the air at the end?

Glad those two from abbey road made it - great album

Um, anybody who ever listened to him?

I think that was like a real expensive guitar he tossed at the end. Sure hope they practiced that.

My thoughts exactly--he's not going to go all Eddie Van Halen just to show off his chops, but a lot of his albums include some really good guitar. Speaking of him and the Beatles, they both were obviously big fans of this guy (poor sound but still worth a listen):

Maybe I was paying too much attention to sheila E

I meant chops in the context of Winwood, Lynne and Petty. Not sure he ever got a wilburys tryout.
