I know I said I was just going to keep rocking the 240, but it just seemed so lonely out there...

So I flew to SLC to get this 2010 T6 last Friday. Saw it listed in the morning, got on a 1pm flight, bought it, and was back in Bozeman just before midnight.

I've already got a pretty long/normal 14 year old turbo Volvo to-do list for it, but once it's up to snuff it should be a good townee/ski car.

Ha, awesome story and cool car. Can’t imagine you woke up that morning thinking you’d end up in SLC and then back in Bozone with a new rig.

He's gotta keep one for himself, I suppose.

As a memory of how awful that "investment" was?

Nice work and cool story. I loved my '14 T6, absolute tank and such a nice, huge interior.

If that trailer gets rear ended does it all go up in smoke ? $16k for a Pinto seems outright criminal or short bussed.

If it was $16k for all, it could be fun to get 5 friends to chip in and have a private IROC style race series: road course, dirt track, SCCA, oval track, drag, off-road, culminating in a demolition derby.

    That's accurate.
I grew up on Long Island in the 80s.

I almost bit the bullet in the back of a pinto wagon circa ‘79 or ‘80

Pinto was a good handling car

    Wagon Stoke

Probably some studio making a movie that features a yellow pinto wagon in a starring role. Some odd couple road trip thing starring Zach Galifinakis and Melissa McCarthy? Maybe an 80 for Brady sequel??!

Wouldn't it be easier just to just light each other on fire?

    Wagon Stoke

Bought this pair of new old stock bilstein airmatic front struts off car-part.com for $800. Wish I had the tools and wherewithal to do this job. It’s not hard.. Once these are on I’ll basically have 7 new airmatic components and should be good to go for a while..I hope. All in the entire 7 components over the last few years will be around $4k.

    Compressor
    2 rear airbags
    2 rear struts
    2 front struts.

The rf strut is not leaking but it is 17 years old and has 130k miles.

Hydraulic shocks leak and have limited life. The rear struts on my wagon are not airmatic. They are hydraulic shocks with ADS.
