Those BRAIDs are smaller than that RS6 front brake disk. The OZ Rally Racing go up to 19", still not adequate.

    Quit harshing my vibe!

(I noticed that too. So in my fantasy you’re just going to have to swap the brakes for something smaller each winter. Totally reasonable.)

The white wheels look awesome but for the me, and apparently the rest of the wagon enthusiasts here, are a bit much and would be real PIA IRL. Good luck ever keeping them clean. Black on white looks just about as good without the racer boi factor.

I'm a beater but matte black plasti dip on the OEM alloys for winter for me. Easy to apply, lasts ok but easy to touch up, looks good, no worries about cleaning, ever.

Summer wheels are gloss black with ceramic coat, similarly low maintenance.

Anyone needs 5x120 BMW OEM staggered 18” wheels, let me know. They’re just sitting in my garage.

A bit of a sad day for me today. Sold my 2019 VW Golf SportWagen to a non-mag skier and sailor. Mrs MNIAW doesn't drive so keeping 3 cars is just stoopid.

The consolation is that I still am lusting after the M-B E400 wagon she bought for me. She really digs the massaging seats and how they "hug" her when we go around curves.

Dynamic seat bolsters really cut fatigue in mountain driving. You're not subconsciously holding yourself in place. Too bad my pump burned out. I should buy a used one and again..

That's awesome. When the honeymoon phase never really ends, that's when you KNOW you made the right decision. I'm starting to understand why (A) these rarely come up for sale on the private used market, and (B) when people DO finally give them up, they have like 200K+ on them. It's like WTF else you gonna get? Same story for used Audi and Volvo wagons too. We rent brand new cars with some frequency for work, some of them pretty nice and fully loaded (thank you, National Emerald Executive Elite status) and even still, I always miss my nearly 10 year old MB wagon. It's not even as nice as yours and I've come to appreciate so many delightful little details. I can only imagine once I step up the E400/450, there will officially be no going back. Next time you rent a car, you're gonna be like "WTF?! No heated massaging, dynamic bolstering seats?! I demand to speak to your manager at once! This BMW X5 is for peasants!!!"

W212 with 300k miles getting a new engine. It still runs well but something about the cam sensors couldn’t be fixed and it won’t pass smog. Guy loves the car. Click image for larger version.

I kinda get it but 300k miles out of an engine is pretty good. Why not fix it?

They had a good excuse to go with crazy wheels but chickened out:

(Also look closely at the IMSA car’s wheel covers…)

I saw three RS6s parked within a few spots of each other yesterday. One sat pretty high with some burly looking light AT tires on 5 spoke wheels that showed off the lime green calipers nicely, one was right off the lot and still had temp plates and the third was totally blinged out and sounded like bad Mexican food topped with Corona Light coming out explosively when it started up, fukn ratty and spitting water out of the oversized phart boxes. Is it wrong the l like the rally looking one?

Probably reminiscing together about the good old days back in Neckarsulm when they rolled off the line completely stock.

    They grow up so fast.

This one new performance RS6 just came up south of town, one of the cleaner looking builds I've seen.

    Pretty.

Yeah they go from holding your hand crossing the street to wanting to paint their room black quite quickly.
