Golden Gate Wingmen
Caught their show in Beantown the other night. My first time seeing these guys together...JK, Chimenti, Lane, and Reed Mathis (who I've never seen before).
These guys are a tight jam band with a feel and mix of jazz, funk, Phish, and Dead. I was really impressed with the stuff Mathis was ripping on his bass and he also was lead vocals on a couple tunes.
They played a few Dead covers, some other random covers (one Police tune) and I'm assuming some original stuff. All in all is was just some damn good live music.

I was wondering if you were there. We Can Run was great, they got something good going for sure.
I thought John was the best I've seen him, which has been a lot.

Ahh, nice! The Dylan opener - It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry - with that crazy jam in the middle just set the tone for the rest of the show.
I'd like to see those guys in a casual outdoor setting like Simsbury CT...ftw!

Cool looking sets. Listening now. They sound fantastic! More jazz scales from JK than I've heard him use. Thx for posting it up.
