And even perfecter for a 27.5+ setup.

I ride 26s for the quickness in handling and strength/weight. But those things do hang up worse in slow rough punchy terrain.

I just rode a 27.5+ full suspension e-bike around a big bike shop in Marin. It was...terrifying. So was the undamped dropper post.
    No longer stuck.

You guys can pooh-pooh it all you want, but I just ordered my own stupid crazy Carbon Stache 29+, and I'm ditching the dropper post before it leaves the shop.

He's comparing a 5ish" travel suspension bike to a hardtail.

The funniest part is that none of the responses even bring that up.

What, you want to make it HARDER for that poor guy to pedal?

Have a little sympathy for his plight. Imma get a kickstarter going so we can get that tortured soul an ebike.

Or he just put normal damn tires on something.

You mean like the 2.6" specialized tires the boys were running at the Whistler enduro?

Those things weigh less than a 2.3 grid.

yeah. I have no idea how someone thought that tire was going to make it through 5 stages in Whistler intact.

New dentist tires that come stock on the 2017 Enduro.

Stocking 2.6" tires on the Enduro is even dumber than stocking a Slaughter on the Demo.

Joe Buckley, a product manager for Specialized, raced the Whistler EWS and came in 6th for 40+. I wonder what tires he rode and if he had issues with them.

what tire do like for the rear?
the slaughter rolls fast, and corners well, but is terrifying on long steep, greasy sections.
it came stock on my bike, just curious what folks are running on the rear.
i like the Butcher up front, but i want something with a little more bite, out-back. XR4 is what i'm thinking
