TRs - Patchskiing, Spring, Summer, and Autumn 2015

It is really that time of year - patchskiing season(s) - local lift served has ended and school is out.
Instead of posting a separate TR for every patchskiing day, I'm going to put them in one thread. I hope that others will add to this. I also hope to provide views, creamed corn and soft-serve snow images, along with some dog stoke.

I'll start with a Sonora Pass Dusk Patrol on April 17th.

    Penny is ready:

Penny and Makisha waiting for Dookey67 to gear up:

We skied the near peak on looker's right.

    Gaylor Peak, May 30th
We headed up to a higher elevation (above 10,000 feet) in hopes of finding better snow conditions. The warmth provided some creamed corn along with overripe mega-mank.

I didn't get far enough over to look at Sisters. I did see that the East Bowl of Roundtop is still filled in all the way if that is any indication of overall coverage.

A few more from Folger Peak on June 3rd.

We approached Folger Peak from the backside starting at Upper Highland Lake.

The stuff right around Ebbetts Pass/Kinney Reservoir is down to smaller patchskiing. Highland Lakes/Folger/Hiram has more to offer right now.

    Forestdale Divide on June 5th.

On 6/5, since 6+5=11, we did 11 different runs. So, I'm certain that Nigel Tufnel of Spinal Tap would agree on selecting 11 of the photos from that day.

    Three Dookey67s and two Pennys:

After our first run which included a variety of terrain starting with a little chute, a little glade and what was left of the lower bowl, we traversed, rock hopped and found many different patches on the way back.

On June 13th I was invited to join Skier666 and Obscure Reference for a Roundtop/Sisters day.
I'll post a few photos from that day as a preview as we wait for more videos/photos/TRs from Skier666. (I can post a link later.)

We passed a marmot on the approach:

Vets heading down the C.R. chute:

A panoramic view across Roundtop Lake:

Lots of fun zones. It was an enjoyable day!
